President Pat Pitney has appointed UAF Chief of Staff Nickole Conley as the UA system’s interim Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective July 21, 2025. Nickole will continue to be based in Fairbanks, but will also spend time in Anchorage and Juneau to support university leadership throughout her interim appointment.

Nickole began her career at UAF in 2003 and has served as Chief of Staff since 2018. Her roles prior to that include time as the chief financial officer for UAF’s College of Engineering and Mines, and deputy operations director at the ÎçÒ¹AV Center for Energy and Power (ACEP).
